PTI welcomes government’s mediation bid

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi has welcomed the role of government as a mediator for resolving the Saudi Arabia-Iran standoff. Talking to media outside Parliament on Tuesday, Shah Mehmood said that his party welcomes the move amid current tense situation between the two Muslim countries. He said Imran Khan had already proposed that Pakistan should play role of mediator in the current scenario. Responding to a question, PTI leader said that the visit of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif together reflects that the civil and military leadership is on the same page.
