Will bring findings of Pathankot attack probe before all: Nawaz Sharif
LONDON: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Sunday said investigation is underway on the leads received from India on the Pathankot airbase attack and vowed to bring the findings before all to see.
During his interaction with media persons here, the Premier said Pakistan’s probe team will visit Pathankot.
He said his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi has also offered to extend all out cooperation in connection with the investigation.
He said it is Pakistan’s wish that the tension between Saudi Arabia and Iran gets defused and the situation normalized.
PM Sharif said no one asked Pakistan to play the role of a mediator between Saudi Arabia and Iran. “It was our own decision,” he reiterated.
He said there is an agreement between Pakistan and Afghanistan that both will not allow their soils to be used against each other, adding, cross border attacks must come to an end.
The Premier said regional stability is linked with the establishment of peace in Afghanistan. “Peace in Afghanistan is possible only through dialogue and Pakistan supports Afghan reconciliation process,” he added.
