Moderate quake jolts Chitral, Malakand
CHITRAL: A mild intensity earthquake jolted Chitral, Malakand Agency and its adjacent areas on Saturday, creating panic among the residents.
The magnitude of the quake recorded by Pakistan’s seismological department was 4.8 on the Richter scale.
The epicenter of the quake was Hindukush region and its depth was recorded 78 kilometers.
No major damage was has reported in the tremor.
Over 400 people had died and hundreds of houses damaged in 7.8-magnitude quake that struck Afghanistan and Pakistan two months back.
