One institution alone cannot eliminate terrorism: Lt Gen Bajwa
PESHAWAR: Pakistan Army spokesman, Lt Gen Asim Salim Bajwa on Sunday emphasized that the entire society and institutions will need to to work hand-in-hand to root out the menace of terrorism.
“One institution alone cannot eliminate this scourge (of terrorism),” Bajwa said while briefing the media on the high-level meeting held in the chairmanship of Army Chief General Raheel Sharif.
He said the meeting reviewed the progress made so far in connection with the ongoing investigation in the Bacha Khan University attack as well as the country’s overall security situation.
Lt Gen Asim Bajwa called upon the people to remain vigilant to identify the terrorists and keep themselves informed about what is going on around them.
He said the goal is to defeat the designs of terrorists and work currently underway to secure the Pak-Afghan border.
