HYDERABAD: Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Chairperson Marvi Memon said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan would gain nothing from the Panama case and Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif, along with his family, would emerge victorious from this baseless issue.
The minister stated this while speaking with the media after holding a meeting with the beneficiaries of BISP on Tuesday. She said that the PTI chief had already wasted time during judicial commission and was doing the same again; as the prime minister and his family were innocent.
While responding to the criticism of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and PTI leaders upon the federal ministers of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz government, she said that they should focus on developing their respective provinces.
“PML-N government fully believed in serving the masses, and that was why mega development projects were launched,” she said and added that CPEC was a game changer which would bring a new era of development in the country with job opportunities to unemployed persons.
Speaking about the National Action Plan, Marvi Memon said that, along with the federal government, the implementation of the plan was also the responsibility of all the provincial governments.
Replying to another question about PPP leaders Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s decision to contest by-elections on National Assembly seats, she said that their presence in the parliament would help in improving the country’s politics and democracy.
