Only 42% Pakistanis envisage Nawaz’s prosperous Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: A Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan revealed that 42 percent Pakistanis are hopeful that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will be successful in improving the economic condition of the country; 40 percent believe otherwise.
A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Do you think Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will be successful in improving the economic condition of the country?” In response to this question, 42 percent said successful, while 40 percent said unsuccessful. 18 percent did not know or did not wish to respond.
The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International.
The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1,872 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during October 17– October 24, 2016. The error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 percent at 95 percent confidence level.
