Want to see Pakistan completely free from any pressures: Saad
LAHORE: Railways Minister and PML-N central leader Saad Rafique has said they want to see Pakistan not only free but completely free from any pressures. He said the PML-N leaders know the price of speaking out against the powers that be in this country, adding they will keep on telling the truth even at the cost of their politics.
Addressing the stone-laying ceremony of Bab-e-Pakistan Sunday at Walton, he said justice was not served in Nawaz Sharif’s case and when we criticise that judgment, we are tagged as contemptuous people. He said the PML-N doesn’t want to engage in confrontational politics, we do not want to lock horns with anyone because if national institutions become plagued with infighting, the country cannot function. “I appeal to all those who are part of these anti-democratic conspiracies, be they political or non-political, to please read the statements of US President Donald Trump and Indian premier Narender Modi and try to realise country’s emergency situation.
He said everyone knows how India is falsely advertising Baloch separatism but at the same time the politicians of this country were busy in immoral political maneuvering in Balochistan. He said someone who got 522 votes in Balochistan was made the chief minister. On the other hand, he said this is an historic place as this is the spot where the migrants arrived at the time of creation of Pakistan.
This place signifies the extent of sacrifices laid down by the people for Pakistan. He said Musharraf toppled our government and the Chaudhry brothers handed this important project to incompetent people. He said the PML-N government will make this a historic project for the coming generations to understand country’s history and its glory.
He said the opposition spent four years in hatching conspiracies, lies, baseless accusations and using religion as an attack strategy instead of working for people’s welfare.
He said whenever someone tries to oust a popular politician through undemocratic means, politics and that politician would only shine brighter and come back with resounding force of people.
