‘Naya Pakistan Manzilain Aasan’ programme a game-changer: CMPunjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said on Saturday ‘Naya Pakistan Manzilain Aasan’ programme would prove to be a game-changer for development of remote areas of the country.
He was speaking after performing ground-breaking of nine-kilometre long link road from Pull Rapharwaali to 9-R Mian Channu. The road will be completed with the allocation of Rs 110 million.
He said the provincial government has launched the programme to strengthen the rural economy and added that thousands of kilometres long roads of remote areas would be constructed and repaired with billions of rupee under the project during the next year.
Provincial Minister Syed Hussain Jehanian Gardezi, Syed Abbas Ali and other officials were present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, provincial ministers Hussain Jehania Gardezi, Malik Nauman Langrial, PTI office-bearers, party workers, lawyers and notable of the area called on Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar in Mian Channu. The chief minister said that city like Khanewal was kept backward intentionally in the past. He said Khanewal is his own district and he wants to solve peoples’ problem. He said changing the destiny of every backward city is his mission.
He disclosed that 102 development projects worth 18 billion rupees will be completed in district Khanewal. Under Punjab Municipal Services Programme, development projects of Rs.43 crore will completed in national and provincial constituencies of the district. He said that 987 acre state land got vacated from illegal occupants will be utilized for projects of public welfare.
Usman Buzdar said that he will visit again soon Khanewal, Mian Channu, Kabirwala and Jehania. He said that model police stations are being set up in every tehsil of Khanewal. He said that entrance and exit points of the city will be beautified. Project of construction and repair of roads of district Khanewal will be completed with an amount of Rs.13.25 billion and consultation with assembly members will be given due importance.
He said that journalists of Khanewal district will be included in Sehat Insaf Card scheme. He said that launching of bus service of Bahauddin Zakariya university is being reviewed for the girl students of Khanewal.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Buzdar has expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief over the loss of precious human lives in a traffic accident in Fort Abbas. He extended heartfelt sympathies and condolences with the hires of diseased and directed the administration to provide best treatment facilities to the injured.
The chief minister also expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief over the sad demise of Justice (r) Arif Chaudhary of Supreme Court. In his condolence message that chief minister prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage and strengthen to the members of bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude.
