Lahore bombers 'enemies of Islam': OIC
JEDDAH: The Organisation of the Islamic Conference on Saturday branded the attackers who blew themselves up at a Sufi shrine in Lahore, Pakistan killing 43 as "enemies of Islam."
OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu "strongly condemned the horrendous suicide attacks" on the shrine on July 1, the pan-Islamic group said in a statement.
"Those who committed such deplorable terrorist acts are enemies of Islam and humanity and should be brought to justice," Ihsanoglu said.
Two suicide bombers blew themselves up among crowds of worshippers at the shrine to Sufi saint Data Ganj Bakhsh in Lahore, capital of Punjab province, leaving 43 dead and scores more injured Thursday.
