Rallies being taken out against Data Darbar Tragedy
KARACHI: Sunni Tehreek (ST) is today taking out protest rallies in Dera Ghazi Khan and Jafferabad against the tragedy that happened revered Data Darbar in Lahore on Thursday night, Geo News reported Sunday.
The rally in Dera Ghazi Khan set off from central Jamia Masjid, and routing through Sadar Bazaar, arrived on Traffic Chawk, where they staged a demonstration against the Lahore carnage with full-throated slogans.
The orators demanded the arrest of saboteurs involved in the incidents and befitting punishment for them. Strict security arrangements were made for the rally.
A protest demonstration was organized against Data Darbar mishap in Balochistan city of Jafferabad and subsequently a rally was taken out.
The rally’s participants staged a sit-in at Sindh-Balochistan Road and condemned the Lahore tragedy. The orators demanded the government for steps to improve the law and order situation in the country.
The ST’s long march against Data Darbar tragedy headed by Tehreek’s leader Sarwat Ijaz Qadri, arrived overnight in Sakrand, where the workers received the rally.
After arriving in Sakrand, the caravan left for Sukkar to be due in the city this evening and will move from various roads to Ghanta Ghar Chawk, where central gathering would be organized.
