Terrorism not reaction of drone attacks, says Altaf

KARACHI: Considering the recent terrorist attacks as a reaction to drone attacks is equal to hiding the acts of terrorism, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain said on Saturday.
Hussain said this during a telephone conversation with the members of different MQM departments present at the Khursheed Begum Memorial Hall in Azizabad, Karachi.
As per a press release, the MQM chief said the terrorists who attacked the shrine of Data Ganj Bakhsh were not worthy of being called humans.
He said although the MQM had always been against the drone attacks, the killing of innocent people at mosques, imambargahs and marketplaces was definitely unrelated to them. He appealed to the media to reject interviewing the supporters of these attacks. He also appealed to the youth to form committees for the security of mosques, imambargahs and shrines.
He asked every person in the country to forget what religion or culture they belonged to and work together to save the country.
