SC to hear NRO implementation case tomorrow
ISLAMABAD: The federal government filed a petition at the Supreme Court (SC) requesting the court to delay the NRO implementation case ruling until the final verdict of NRO review petitions case, Geo News reported Sunday.The SC will hear the case regarding National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) implementation tomorrow.
Attorney General Maulvi Anwarul Haq filed a plea at the apex court.
The AG pleaded the court in his petition to delay the case proceedings until the apex court’s final ruling of NRO verdict review petitions.
A five-judge larger bench of the apex court headed by Justice Nasirul Mulk will hear the case regarding the implementation of the SC’s NRO verdict.
The court in its previous hearing ordered the Law Ministry to send a new summary regarding Swiss cases to the PM; otherwise, the Law Secretary was ordered to appear before the court.
