Law minister asks Nawaz to contest election


GUJRANWALA: Federal Minister for Law and Justice, Dr. Babar Awan has said that PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif should contest elections; PPP would not pitch any candidate against him, saying it would strengthen the democracy.

He suggested Nawaz Sharif to stay away from a group of four because it was nudging him to an army dictator.

He was speaking to Senior Minister Raja Riaz, lawyers, civil society members and PPP workers here.

The law minister also said that Chairperson PPP, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari would be in charge of next election campaign.

He was of the view that there was no provision of mid term elections in the Constitution.
