PHC CJ imposed ban on suo moto notice
PESHAWAR: Chief Justice Peshawar High Court (PHC) Ijaz Afzal Khan imposed ban on the right of judges of taking suo moto notice without permission.In a statement issued from Chief Justice PHC, it was stated that PHC judges couldn’t take suo moto notice in personal capacity.
Talking to Geo News, registrar PHC Mussadiq Hussain Gilani has confirmed the ban and said now onwards, a judge should take permission from Chief Justice PHC prior to taking suo moto notice. Earlier, High Court judge Justice Dost Muhammad Khan was use to of taking suo moto notices on public issues.
