Omar hopes Indo-Pak talks will resolve issue

NEW DELHI: Indian-held Kashmir (IHK) Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday said he hoped the current dialogue process between India and Pakistan would result in an amicable solution to the Kashmir problem. Making an impatient appeal to people to remain calm and help in ending the cycle of violence, he said Kashmir is a political issue and the “need of the hour is to put the dialogue process between India and Pakistan back on rails”. Omar said friendly relations between the two countries were in the best interest of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. “ We are the biggest stake holder of peace in the region,” he added. iftikhar gilani
