PPP, PML-N have disappointed nation: Musharraf

RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), both have disappointed the nation, as the major parties’ leaders have failed to fulfill their promises, former president Gen (r) Pervez Musharraf said on Monday.

Talking with Pakistan Aman Party President Haji Gulzar Awan in Dubai, the former president said that the Pakistani people “badly want a change”, and he will play a “proactive role in the politics of the country in future”.

Musharraf said that soon he would announce the time frame for his return to the country.

Both the political parties are in habit of singing a tune of democracy all the time, while their own attitudes are un-democratic. Now the people have become aware of this, but at the moment, they have no other choice, he said. All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) will fill up that gap and provide competent leadership, Musharraf added. staff report
