Pakistan rejects accusations
ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office spokesman Abdul Basit on Tuesday rejected the assertions made by Indian National Security Adviser Shiv Shankar Menon. “Menon’s baseless accusations are yet another manifestation of the Indian establishment’s propagandistic stance towards Pakistan,” Basit said. The spokesman said the statement was “entirely inconsistent” with the understanding reached between the leadership of the two countries at Thimphu, Bhutan that terrorism was a common threat, which needed to be addressed in a cooperative manner. app
