Targeted killings tally climbs to 21


KARACHI: The death toll from various incidents of target killings in Karachi has now risen to 21 within last 36 hours with one more persons killed on late Wednesday night, Geo news reported.

However, police and law enforcement agencies seem helpless as tension and fear has gripped Karachiites following eruption of riots in Malir on Wednesday evening.

Five persons have been so far shot dead from last night.

The latest targeted killing incident took place in Sarjani locality where a dead body of a 36-year-old man, reportedly an activist of a political party has been recovered, taking the tally to 21 in three days.

The worst affected areas of targeted killings incidents and riots included Minghopir, Orangi Town, Pak Colony, Sarjani Town, Malir, Gardan and Model Colony where as many as seven people were killed by Thursday morning.
