Establishment with government since 2008: PM
MINGORA: Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani said that the establishment has been with the government since 2008, Geo News reported. He said this alongside Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani while speaking to the media after a seminar in Swat.Prior to this while addressing the seminar the prime minister said that after 9/11 Pakistan had initiated the process to rid terrorism from its soil and had cleared Swat from the grip of terrorists.
He added that Pakistan should be peaceful, terrorists be eliminated and the country was facing both internal and external challenges. PM Gilani mentioned the sacrifices rendered by Pakistanis in the war against terror stating that 30,000 civilians and 5,000 soldiers had lost their lives due to this menace. He stressed that the eradication of militancy was in the interest of the entire nation.
