Ayman al-Zawahri living in Pakistan: Panetta
KABUL: US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta has said that Ayman-al-Zawahri was living in Pakistan’s tribal areas, adding that he wanted to see Pakistan’s action against al Qaeda Chief.According to a foreign news agency, Panetta, prior to his arrival in Kabul on a surprise visit, said that it was strategically possible to defeat Al-Qaeda if the United States could kill or capture up to 20 remaining leaders of the core group and its affiliates.
He added that these individuals were in Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia.
