Punjab officials refuse to brief Governor about floods

LAHORE: Senior officials of the Punjab government refused to brief Governor Latif Khosa about floods situation, Geo News reported.

The Governor said that Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif should enjoy the cool winds of London but he should not forget his constitutional responsibilities and lodge cases against those officials who have been held responsible in the flood report instead of promoting them.

During a press conference at the Governor House, Khosa said that the Punjab government was constitutionally responsible to brief him about provincial administrative matters.

He added that when he summoned IG Punjab over the Mianwali incident, he found out that he was in Raiwand even though Shahbaz Sharif was in London. Khosa said that he was writing a letter to the President about these issues.
