US voices concern over violence in Karachi

 

ISLAMABAD: The United States on Friday voiced its “deep concern” over the situation in Karachi and urged all parties to refrain from further violence and work towards a peaceful resolution of differences. A statement by Ambassador Cameron Munter issued from the US Embassy described the “escalating violence” in Karachi as “a tragedy”. “We extend condolences to the families and friends of the innocent victims”, the statement said, while mentioning the loss of over 60 lives, including women and children, over the last three days. app
