Govt should complete its term: Nawaz

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz chief Mian Nawaz Sharif said on Saturday that the government should complete its tenure in the prevailing situation. He was talking to the media after condoling the death of lyricist Khawaja Pervaiz with his family. To a question about Imran Khan, he replied that the comments of Imran Khan could be correct but that they did not carry weight. Bureaucracy is answerable neither to the chief minister nor to the governor of Punjab, he added. Nawaz said that the government should unveil the elements responsible for the current situation in Karachi. He was of the view that the government should send in the army to establish peace in Karachi and to protect the lives and property of the people. A letter by the district coordination officer (DCO) would be sufficient to launch an army operation in Karachi, he said. app
