Directed to work with the MQM: Rehman
KARACHI: Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik said the disconnection of telephones lines of MQM's headquarters was due to technical reasons, Geo News reported.He was addressing the media after attending a meeting at National Crisis Management Cell.
The Interior Minister said he had been directed to work with the MQM to restore peace in the city.
He added that if there were any differences between the PPP and MQM on the commissionerate system, then those would be resolved through talks. Speaking on the security situation in Karachi, he said that those who commit acts of terrorism are helping the Taliban and soon 500 rangers and FC personnel would reach the city.
