'Conspiracy hatched to destablise city'
KARACHI: Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wasan said he had a dream that the deadlock with the MQM had ended and the MQM was with the government, Geo News reported.
He added that people in his constituency knew that his dreams came true. Speaking to Geo News Wasan said that there is a conspiracy to destablise Karachi and when the situation in one area improves, it becomes worse in another area.
He appealed to the MQM, ANP, JI, Sunni Tehreek and other political parties to work with the government to restore peace in the city. Wasan said that a foreign hand, the drug, land and weapons mafia were involved in creating a state of unrest in the city.
He added that the PPP is the big political party in Sindh, while the MQM was the big political party in Karachi. The PPP has relations with the MQM since 1988 and he compared the argument between the two parties as a fight between two brothers.
Replying to a question he said that they were in no hurry to accept the resignation of MQM ministers and they would persuade them to rejoin the government. He added that the educated and somber lot of the MQM was in favour of the commissioner system.
