ANP delegations calls on President Zardari
ISLAMABAD: ANP has assured President Asif Ali Zardari that the party will abide by the measures implemented by the government to restore peace in Karachi, Geo News reported.A delegation from the ANP called on the President in the federal capital. President Zardari expressed hope that the Army would not need to be called in to restore peace in the city.
ANP spokesman Zahid Khan while speaking to Geo News said that the President had taken his part into confidence over the situation in Karachi and the restoration of the commissionerate system.
The delegation of the ANP also supported the need to call in the army to restore peace in Karachi, however the President expressed hope that the situation would be resolved without taking this step. President Zardari said the government would continue its policy of reconciliation and would not close its doors for anyone.
