Rs 21bn required to deal with energy crisis: PEPCO
ISLAMABAD: During a meeting held to discuss the energy shortfall in the country, PEPCO officials told government representatives that Rs 21 billion were required on an urgent basis to control the crisis, Geo News reported.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Federal Finance Minister Dr. Hafeez Sheikh while the Federal Ministers for Water and Power and Petroleum were also present.
The meeting discussed the uninterrupted supply of gas to the energy sector. Rs 900 million were approved for the Thar Coal Project which would be used to open the letter of credit for the project.
