MQM, PML-N walk out from National Assembly

ISLAMABAD: While protesting against the recent violence in Karachi, MQM MNA Sajid Ahmed accused a Lyari based gang supervised by Zulfiqar Mirza of being involved in the incidents of firing in Malir.

After Ahmed’s statement, MQM MNAs supported by the PML-N walked out from the National Assembly. MQM members also staged a walk out from the Senate.

Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani addressed the National Assembly and spoke on the violence in Karachi.

“Violence in Karachi will not be tolerated” he said.

Meanwhile MQM MNA, Haider Abbas Rizvi spoke to the media outside the National Assembly and said some people wanted to destabilize Karachi so Pakistan could be destabilized.

“Unfortunately some ministers are involved in destabilizing the situation in the city, and this should be probed” Rizvi said.
