Scrap, plots scandals in railway revealed
LAHORE: A meeting of National Assembly’s standing committee is underway in Railway headquarters Lahore, Geo News reported.According to the details, Chairman Sardar Ayaz Sadiq rebuked the railway officials over stealing of radiators and reuse of old Mobil oil.
Plots scandal in railway was also revealed during the session. Sadiq said that committee was not satisfied with the scrap inquiry, adding that those involved should be brought to justice.
He said eleven radiators of railway have been stolen while administration and police kept sleeping. FIA and Police official told the committee that six officials of railway have been arrested in radiators stealing case.
Sadiq directed the FIA and Railway Police to arrest the thief within one month otherwise the committee would take stern action.
A session was also told that stealing of diesel and reuse of old Mobil oil has also confirmed. Chairman Standing Committee directed the railway administration to take action in this regard otherwise the case would be sent to NAB.
A sub committee was also constituted for the investigation of scrap scandal in railway.
