Lahore UET entry test annulled
LAHORE: University of Engineering and Technology (UET) entry test has been annulled, while the date for the new entry test will be announced later.
Entry tests were held in Lahore, Multan and Taxila under the auspicious of UET. Ten examination centres were set up in different cities including Lahore and 41,000 candidates for 4,000 seats had appeared in the test. In Lahore alone 4,000 candidates (male and female) had appeared in the test at UET. The candidates blamed that the entry test paper had already leaked out.
On the other hand, University Vice chancellor, Muhammad Akram talking to media told that some persons were talking about leaking of the paper for their ulterior motives, however, under pressure he called for a meeting the UET management, when it surfaced that some portion of the paper had actually leaked out.
The meeting with the VC Muhammad Akram in the chair decided to annul the entry test held earlier and a new date should be announced. It may be pointed out that this is the first incident of leaking paper in the UET history.
