Anjum Aqeel sent to jail on 14-day judicial remand
ISLAMABAD: The FIA presented PML-N MNA, Anjum Aqeel in the court of a senior civil judge after the completion of his physical remand on Monday, Geo News reported.The court ordered the MNA who has been accused of fraud and other crimes to be sent to jail on a 14-day judicial remand.
Aqeel’s medical treatment report was also presented in the court which stated that he was suffering from heart disease.
The defense attorney requested that in light of his medical condition and alleged agreement with the complainant, the case against Aqeel should be dismissed. The court after hearing the arguments against Aqeel dismissed this request.
The hearing of the case was adjourned for two weeks.
