LEAs begin search operation in violence-hit areas
KARACHI: Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) have begun search operation in Malir, Jaffar Tayyar society and other affected areas and have apprehended several suspects, Geo News reported on Monday.
According to police, extra contingent of police and Rangers have been deployed in violence-hit areas of Malir. LEAs agencies have started patrolling in these areas.
Police said extra contingent has been deployed to bring the life in normal in these areas, adding that several suspects have also been arrested during the search operation.
Meanwhile, tension persists in these areas despite deployment of police and Rangers. No untoward incident has been reported in Landhi, Malir Aasu Goath, Bakra market, Dawood Goath and Millat town after the deployment of police and Rangers.
It is pertinent to mention here that on Sunday 14 people were killed and 23 others injured in firing and torture incidents in different localities of the metropolis.
Several houses in Malir were targeted with rocket launchers and hand grenades. Sporadic firing is still continue in some areas.
