Call for providing security to MQM-H workers

KARACHI: Muhajir Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi (MQM-H) Women Wing Karachi organiser Rida Fatima has demanded of the government to ensure safe return of their party activists to their homes and bring those to book, who attacked their workers and torched their homes.

She made this demand while addressing a press conference at the Karachi Press Club on Sunday. Party’s women wing members Shaheen Ashraf and others also accompanied her. Rida said the activists of MQM-H had been compelled to live as life of nomads for the last nine years.

She said: “Few days back, some of them without prior permission of the party visited their homes in Malir where some people cordoned off their houses and opened fire. As a result, four of her party members were killed and many injured.” She said armed men entered the house of MQM-H Karachi Division organiser Maqbool Hussain, looted valuables and later set it on fire. staff report
