Chaudhry Abdul Majeed selected as new AJK PM
MUZAFFARABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly (LA) has elected Chaudhry Abdul Majeed of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) as the new prime minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Geo News reported.
Following the election of the speaker and deputy speaker in the assembly yesterday, the session was adjourned until 12.00 noon today.
The PPP candidate Chaudhry Abdul Majeed got 35 votes while the PML-N candidate Raja Farooq Haider managed to get 11 votes.
The speaker of the Legislative Assembly did not cast his vote.
