'Clash b/w institutions catastrophic'
PESHAWAR: Chairman of Pakistan People's Party (S) Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao called here on Sunday for implementing the verdicts of the Supreme Court as this was essential for establishing rule of law in the country.Addressing a press conference here, he said implementation of Apex Court's decisions in letter and spirit would certainly bring down tension between Executive and the Judiciary.
He said confrontation between state institutions would destabilize the country besides increasing the number of problems being faced by the people.
He criticised Civil Powers Regulations for FATA and Pata and said that it was against the fundamental principles of human rights. He said it was a discriminatory law.
He said despite one year had passed since floods hit Pakhtun-Khwa, the provincial government had not taken any solid measure for relief of the people.
