Trains depart far behind schedule, passengers suffer
KARACHI: Passengers have been suffering badly due to late departure of trains from Cantonment Station on Sunday, as hundreds of passengers lodged protest after facing hardship and without being provided necessary information.
Trains arriving from various upcountry destinations also pulled in too late behind their scheduled time.
It was learnt that almost each and every train has been arriving and leaving at least 10 to 12 hours behind their scheduled time.
Meanwhile, a large number of passengers lodged protest against the delayed departure of trains. Even they were not being given information from the control room as to when a train would leave the station.
Divisional Commercial Officer Kamran Saeed, when contacted, said that the trains are arriving late due to which the departure schedule is affected.
