Shujaat for APC on Karachi peace
ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister and a veteran politician, Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain, assured Sunni Tehrik leader Sarwat Ejaz Hussain Qadri that the PML-Q was determined to hold an All Parties Conference (APC) to stop the slaughter of innocent people and restore peace in Karachi. He said this during a telephonic conversation with the Sunni Tehrik leader who had called on PML-Q Sindh President Ghous Bux Khan Mahar.
Ghous Bux Khan Mahar also assured Qadri that PML-Q platform supported efforts by all segments of society to stop violence and to maintain peace in Karachi as the city belonged to all Pakistainis and not to any specific subset of the country. National integrity was needed to strengthen the national economy and bring about national prosperity, he added. staff report
