NAB Chief statement disclosed PPP performance: Wasim
LAHORE: Amir Jamat-e-Islami Punjab, Syed Wasim Akhtar has said that the statement of Chairman NAB, in which he pointed at Rs6 to 8 billion corruption everyday, exposed the real performance of PPP and its allies.This he said while speaking at different programmes in the city.
Wasim Akhtar said NAB Chairman's inaction against the corrupt elements despite the disclosures of corruption was condemnable. "In a period of just four years, the country's foreign debt which stood at Rs6700 shot up to Rs12000 billion while the growth rate plummeted from 7 percent to 2.5," he regretted.
He added that the duration of loadshedding increased from 4 hours to a whopping 12 hours. The country suffered a loss of staggering Rs8.5 trillion during the Gilani regime due to corruption, tax default and bad governance.
