Khosa wants Shahbaz to take blame for deaths
LAHORE: Branding the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif a self-proclaimed sage, Governor Punjab Sardar Latif Khosa demanded of him to take responsibility for the recent deaths in hospitals in the backdrop of young doctors' strike.
Addressing media persons during a programme here, Khosa said Pakistan Muslim League-N had first called out the boots in WAPDA and schools in the past and asked PML-N if it once again wanted to relinquish all the powers to the army by inviting them this time around to hospitals.
"However, now the Supreme Court and civil society will not allow a backdoor entry to anyone," he added.
The Punjab Governor advised the citizens to protest themselves on their own as the entire police force of the province has been deployed at Raiwind and (Chief Minister's) camp office.
He condemned the police raid action the protesting doctors and at the same time exhorted the doctors to honour their oaths.
