Pakistan, India exchange list of prisoners

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and India exchanged lists of their prisoners in each other’s custody under the agreement on consular access signed between the two countries on May 21, 2008. Under this agreement both countries are required to exchange lists of prisoners in each other’s custody twice a year, on January 1 and July 1. According to a Foreign Office spokesman, consistent with the provisions of this agreement, the Foreign Affairs Ministry handed over a list of Indian prisoners in Pakistan to the Indian High Commission on July 1. app
