MQM demands end to 36 hours CNG loadshedding

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement MQM Coordination Committee Friday demanded end to 36 hours load shedding of CNG to help provide relief to people and facilitate CNG stations owners run their business in better way.

A representative delegation of All-Pakistan CNG Association today met MQM Coordination Committee members Syed Shakir Ali and Wasay Jalil at Khursheed Begum Secretariat and briefed on problems faced by its members. Association chairman Shabbir Sulemanji said Sui Southern Gas Company SSGC earlier announced 24 hours load shedding but increased to 36-hours and did not bother to intimate about it to Association and CNG consumers, MQM press release said.

He said in wake of unannounced increase in duration from 24 to 36 hours, load shedding schedule was now being implemented from 9pm Friday to 9am Sunday, instead of previous schedule of 9am Saturday to 9am Sunday. “Such belated announcement by SSGC caused unrest among CNG consumers and created hardships for CNG stations owners,” he added.

MQM Coordination Committee members assured MQM would strive for bringing end to CNG 36-hours load-shedding. They demanded of Federal Petroleum Minister Dr Asim Hussain, other higher authorities to immediately bring end to CNG 36-hours load shedding to help provide relief to people and facilitate CNG stations owners run their business in better way.
