Civilian, military leadership talks Pak-US ties

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf on Wednesday chaired a high-level meeting at the Presidency, which discussed the security situation in the region. The meeting was attended Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar, Secretary General to President M Salman Faruqui, JCSC Chairman General Khalid Shameem Wynne, Foreign Secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani, Defence Secretary Nargis Sethi, COAS General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Asif Sandila and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt. According to sources, the meeting also discussed the situation after resumption of NATO supplies and future Pak-US relations. inp
