Pakistan hopes issue will be resolved bilaterally
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Sunday said that the issues of shelling and border intrusions taking place on the Pak-Afghan border could be resolved bilaterally. Commenting on the protest by Kabul over shelling from Pakistan’s side, Foreign Office spokesman Moazzam Khan said that Pakistan and Afghanistan are two brotherly countries and would try to resolve all issues. “Pakistan and Afghanistan would work together and resolve all issues bilaterally to establish peace in the region,” he added. Afghanistan’s ambassador in Islamabad, Umer Daudzai, told Daily Times that his government had ordered a probe into the alleged shelling from Pakistan’s side. staff report
