Give in writing that you will recover missing persons, CJ tells IGFC
ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has directed the IGFC to give in writing that he will recover the missing persons otherwise FC personell named in FIR’s would be arrested.A three member bench of the Supreme Court resumed hearing of the Balochistan law and order case on Thursday.
During proceedings the provincial governments report pertaining to the enforcement of the constitution in Balochistan was presented. The CJ asked why there was no commitment given in the report regarding the missing persons. He said that the statements being given by the government were not correct and giving more attention to Balochistan would be beneficial for the nation and the province itself.
The Advocate General informed the court that he situation in the province had improved following SC orders.
The apex court ordered the Defence and Interior Secretaries along with the IGFC to sign the report presented by the provincial government.
The hearing of the case has been adjourned till July 31.
