British MPs demand US-NATO to stop drone attacks in Pakistan

LONDON: British parliamentarians have urged the US-NATO leadership to draw a line under the indiscriminate drone attacks in Pakistan’s tribal areas, Geo News reported.

According to sources, a dozen of members from House of Commons and Lords have written to the US-NATO commanders demanding immediate halt to the spy plane strikes.

In the letter written they argued that such attacks were only stoking terrorism.

They also feared that these strikes were adding to anti-West sentiment.

Such violations only mongered hate and created a justification for retaliatory terrorism, said they in the letter written to America.

Lamenting the loss of hundreds of innocent lives including women and children, who had so far succumbed to these unrestrained drone attacks, British lawmakers also demanded of US-NATO leadership to respect the sovereignty of Pakistan.
