Shortage of diesel closes PR powerhouse
LAHORE: The powerhouse of Pakistan Railways (PR) has closed down owing to the deficiency of diesel to the Railways, Geo News reported Monday.According to sources, PR is not getting any more diesel due to which the powerhouse has shut down and if loadshedding will hit the department, then it can lead to the closure of railway station, railway hospital and engine shed.
According to DS Railways Lahore, Ghauri Express- that travels between Lahore and Faisalabad- has been suspended due to shortage of diesel while Fareed and Allama Iqbal Express are also late.
The administration told that the train carrying diesel will reach Lahore at 11:30 am after which Fareed and Allama Iqbal Express will resume its journey.
