CPLC chief Ahmed Chinoy says efforts underway to pacify Lyari
HYDERABAD: Citizens-Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) Chief Ahmed Chinoy Sunday said that talks with the representatives of various schools of thought were underway to restore peace in restive Lyari, Geo News reported.
Chinoy said this while speaking at a ceremony, which was organized by CPLC Hyderabad in his honor here.
He further said in a high-level meeting, chaired by President Asif Ali Zardari at Bilawal House, a number of recommendations were made with regard to law and order situation in Karachi.
A strategy was being chalk outed to improve the deteriorating law and order situation in Sindh in general and its capital in particular, added he.
He mentioned that instead of budgetary increase a solid line of action was more important for the maintenance of law and order.
CPLC chief claimed that there had been a significant development in Justice Maqbool Baqar attack case investigation, adding the CCTV camera footage of the bombing had been collected, which would help round up the accused.
