ISLAMABAD: A judicial commission was formed on Saturday to probe the tragedy involving Bhoja Air that killed 127 passengers last year. The commission will file its reports within three months. It should be mentioned here that the Islamabad High Court took notice of the delay in investigation of the air crash, that took place on April 20 last year, killing all passengers onboard. IHC judge Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui ordered that the commission would work under Justice (r) Khalilur Rehman Ramday to investigate the cause of the accident. The airline has been asked to pay Rs 6 million to the commission. The commission has been tasked to answer the questions in three months. The commission will investigate if the licence issued to Bhoja Air was in accordance with law and whether its aircraft met specific requirements – the aircraft’s mileage, maintenance record and airworthiness.
