Final date for National Security Conference to be announced Monday
ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Ministry Monday stated that announcement of a final date for National Security Conference (NSC), which could be finalized today (Monday), was contingent upon consultations as well as the availability of political stakeholders, Geo News reported.
Earlier, it was stated that NSC was scheduled for July 12, however the ministry now says it’s a tentative date, which is subject to change.
According to a statement issued from the ministry, the final date of NSC has not been announced and Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar was contacting the political leadership of the country to invite them to the roundtable.
The statement also added that the interior minister would hold talks with the political leaders for scheduling an NSC, after concluding the invitation process.
The schedule of NSC could be announced any time soon today (Monday), the statement said.
