Six arrested in connection with Sajid Qureshi’s murder
KARACHI: Police claimed to have arrested six suspects on Thursday in connection with the murder of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) MPA Sajid Qureshi.
During a news conference, SSP CID Chaudhry Aslam claimed that one of the six suspects was also involved in the murder of Professor Sibte Jafar.
“The six terrorists belong to the outlawed Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and were involved in over 25 murders. Arms and suicide jackets were also recovered from their possession,” Aslam told reporters.
Sajid Qureshi was killed along with his son in the North Nazimabad area on June 21, 2013 while Professor Jafar was shot dead by unidentified men on March 18.
